Compumedics is pleased to announce the Thailand Clinical Workshop featuring the Compumedics Neuroscan CURRY software. This hands-on workshop is intended for physicians and EEG/MEG technologists with a focus on the evaluation of epilepsy EEG and MEG data.

Requirements:

All hands-on sessions will be performed with Compumedics’ Curry software. Participants are to bring their own Windows laptops and a wheel mouse. Curry software and course data will be installed onsite. Laptops should have as a minimum Windows XP SP3 as the OS. Windows 7 or 8 are preferred.

The training will be conducted by Compumedics’ top research scientists Dr Curtis Ponton and Dr. Michael Wagner, with clinical lectures provided by Dr. Yotin Chinvarun M.D. Ph.D , senior Neurologist , Epileptologist and Sleep physician at the Pramongkutklao Hospital and Bangkok hospital.

Dr. Yotin Chinvarun M.D. Ph. D.

Dr. Chinvarun is a senior Neurologist, Epileptologist and Sleep physician at the Pramongkutklao and Bangkok Hospitals. He was an epilepsy fellow at the Austin Hospital, and was awarded Ph.D. (Neurology) from Melbourne University (1995-1999). Dr. Chinvarun set up the EMU and Epilepsy program at the Chulalongkorn Hospital (1999-2000) and Pramongkutklao Hospital for 16 years.

He is a pioneer of epilepsy surgery in Thailand and has experience in neuroimaging in SPECT and PET. Dr. Chinvarun’s interests include EEG source localization, high density EEG, EEG-fMRI and new technology in neuroimaging for presurgical evaluation in epilepsy.

Dr. Chinvarun currently holds various positions including :

  • >  Director of Comprehensive Epilepsy and Sleep disorder Program at the Pramongkutklao hospital and Bangkok hospital
  • >  Vice president of Thailand Epilepsy Society
  • >  President of the Sleep club, Neurological society of Thailand
  • >  Board committee of Thailand Neurological foundation.

    Dr. Curtis Ponton, Ph. D.

    Dr. Curtis Ponton joined Compumedics Neuroscan in 2000 and has served several roles in the organization including Chief Scientist, Vice President, with current responsibilities in Business Development. With Compumedics Neuroscan he has led the product development team of the EEG/fMRI MicroMaglink for the past several years. Dr. Ponton has authored more than

    50 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters.

    Dr. Michael Wagner, Ph. D.

    Dr. Michael Wagner is a Senior Scientist at Compumedics Neuroscan, and one of the core members ofCurrysoftwareengineeringgroup. Dr.WagnerhasbeenwithCompumedicsNeuroscanfor more than a decade. In addition to his expertise in software engineering, Dr. Wagner remains active in research. His 50+ peer-reviewed publications include recent collaborative studies with Drs. Cook and Plummer from Melbourne University.
